TRUMPF to present the latest advances and products in laser technology at Photonics West 2023

At Photonics West 2023, stand 539, TRUMPF will showcase live the latest TRUMPF programmable focusing optics (PFO) 33 for high-power lasers with VisionLine OCT Detect 3D feature detection, as well as the new TruMark 7050 marking laser as part of the TruMark Station 7000; the new TruFiber 6000 S fiber laser for fast and deep engraving, the new TruMicro 6020 ultra-short pulse laser and the TruMicro 2030 compact ultra-short pulse laser with LLK-µ industrial fiber delivery. As part of its exhibition at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, TRUMPF will also present a toolbox dedicated to its programmable focusing optics, including the new compact PFO SF for beam generation in small workspaces, as well as other products for laser technology. c For additive manufacturing, laser marking, laser welding, as well as VCSEL and limited edge laser technologies.
TRUMPF will showcase its state-of-the-art vision optics and sensors, including third-generation Programmable Focus (PFO) optics (PFO) 33 for applications with maximum laser power and large scanning fields, as well as a PFO scanner for small fields. The PFO 33 for high power lasers is equipped with the new VisionLine OCT Detect system, which combines reflected light imaging with optical coherence tomography (OCT) for 3D object recognition. The OCT sensor scans the component coaxially with the processing laser and operates independently of the respective lighting and clamping situation. The resulting 3D information can be used to detect and inspect component features, such as component height offsets. TRUMPF will also present the new PFO SF with compact optics for narrow beam generation.
TRUMPF will present the TruMark Station 7000, equipped with the new TruMark 7050 laser marking system, ideal for high speed marking, fast deep laser engraving, large scale surface structuring, fast ablation, laser cleaning, foil spot cutting and dissimilar metal welding. The TruMark 7050 is the next generation of high performance, multifunctional marking lasers and is a turnkey solution that can be easily integrated into complex process environments. The TruMark 7050 uses a laser source with an average power of 200W and a peak power of over 10kW to achieve high processing speed and short cycle times. The new TruTops Mark 3D marking and material processing software shows every step in 3D and is now optimized for welding like and dissimilar metals.
The new TruFiber 6000 S fiber laser for demanding industrial welding and cutting applications will also be introduced to the North American market. The versatile TruFiber S combines a powerful beam source with advanced features such as BrightLine Weld, technology that improves process quality and productivity. BrightLine Weld distributes the full power of the laser between the core and the surrounding ring in a 2-in-1 laser cable. The TruFiber 6000 S beam delivery system with one or two outputs can deliver laser light to two systems. Connecting and disconnecting the laser cable is simple and convenient, making the TruFiber S an excellent choice for large production lines.
The new ultra-fast TruMicro 6020 industrial laser generates high-energy pulses to modify and cut transparent materials such as glass, and can be used in burst mode to store higher energies. The TruMicro 6000 series ultra-short pulse lasers offer closed-loop control for maximum power and pulse energy stability. TruMicro 6020 is also available in green (515 nm) and ultraviolet (343 nm) wavelengths. The compact design of the machine and small dimensions make it easy to start production.
The TruMicro 2030 compact ultrashort pulse laser (pictured) is also easily integrated. TruMicro is equipped with special optics for fast laser cutting or welding of glass parts with excellent edge quality and LLK-µ industrial fiber optic cable. The versatile laser offers variable pulse width, burst and pulse on demand, and is equipped with an air-core femtosecond infrared fiber amplifier. LLK-µ industrial fiber delivery allows control of beam entry and exit while maintaining beam and momentum characteristics. The TruMicro 2000 series lasers are specifically designed for efficient and precise micromachining.
TRUMPF will present its mini lasers in the field of VCSEL lasers and edge lasers. VCSEL and photodiode solutions from TRUMPF Photonic Components are solutions for consumer and industrial sensors as well as laser thermal processing and optical data transmission applications. Illumination quality has been improved with new features such as VCSEL with polarization stabilization. Other features such as multi-junction VCSEL technology or integrated optical drive system, efficiency and miniaturization. TRUMPF Photonics Inc. is a technology leader and manufacturer of diode lasers and laser pump modules for industrial applications. The company demonstrated its recently announced thermally stabilized diode laser for LiDAR pumping and CATV applications.
